Suzanne's first post

Well, started work this week, the little shop is stunning! I am enjoying not having too much responsibilities but still like the hands on people interaction that the job so generously provides. Of course the beautiful setting of Eton and Windsor Castle in the background is a pleasure to see everyday.
In the next two weeks Greg and I will be apart. I am finally doing that Aerobics course and will be staying in London with some friends. I am a little bit nervous because I have not done any exercise for about 4 weeks due to the pregnancy, but hopefully all will go well.

I went to the doctor this week, must be honest, came home a little disappointed, I was hoping for more information but all they did was work out a probable due date (27th Dec) and then a date for my 12 week scan which is the 11th June, only then will we truly know anything about our little baby (who is now the size of a grape).

We have given the grape a name...thanks to my friend Julise. Granie - short for Greg and Zanie.

Other than that, adapting to Slough is a bit harder for me than for Greg. The pregnancy influences my mood regularly and if I could be at home alone for the next 7 months I would be happy. But I am also aware that I must fight those feelings. God has placed us here for now and hiding in the house is the opposite of what we came here to do. So by prayer and trust in God, this too shall pass.

Something that has really been on my heart is to raise up a prayer shield for us here in Slough. We are praying for supporting prayers. We are indeed not fighting against flesh and bone and we should not be ignorant of that. If any of you are interested in joining that prayer shield please email me at zaanalbrecht@gmail.com so that I can tell you more about it.

Well, that's it from us for this week xxxx love and blessing to you all
