The Bible, the pub and normal women
What an interesting evening last night! I've been going through the Purple Book (a little book on Biblical Foundations) with 2 good friends of mine, Paul and Michael, maybe for the last 4 or 5 months. We came to our last session and decided that we would go to the pub for a serious plate of food to celebrate. So, last night, we went and the food was serious (they don't call it the big plate special for nothing) and Mike ended up having 2 plates! After dinner, we opened our Purple Books and started talking about the last chapter 'Resurrection and judgement'. The conversation quickly moved to the reality of another life after this one and how we should have an urgency to help people get a revelation of Jesus in this life rather than in the next. So we talked about meeting people, really loving them, helping them get to know our awesome God... and the challenges of actually doing so.
