The calm before the storm

It's Friday! And our Fridays are even better than most people's, because for us the weekend has already started (we work mainly from Sunday to Thursday). Not that weekend is what we live for, but we somehow always feel like we need it.

Today will be particularly quiet and family-focused as we part ways to opposite sides of the planet tomorrow. Suzanne and Liya-Jean are off to France to spend a week in Marseille. Our friends, Matt and Christy Rasch are going to the Every Nation World Conference in Florida and Suzanne will looking after their kiddos. And I'll be joining Matt and Christy in the States for the conference, which is very exciting! I'm not that excited about going alone though, but hey... you win some, you lose some.

Then we're back in a week's time for a fairly busy summer program at church, which by the way is going really well. We had our record number of adults this last Sunday... 81! That might not sound like a lot, but for us it's a huge milestone. We've really been experiencing God taking the church from strength to strength, which is very exciting and slightly frightening. Among other things, we're starting to trust God for our own permanent premises, which will be a huge step of faith when the opportunity presents itself. If you're one who prays, do please pray with us for this specifically.

In other news, Liya-Jean received her British passport this week. Yeah! Our family's first British citizen. Hopefully, Suzanne and I will follow suit soon. Oh, and we booked our first ever, all-inclusive holiday to Mallorca! It's an amazing blessing, because friends of ours just gave us a load of money and said 'Go on holiday!' Thank you, Jesus (and our good friends)!

Hope all is good on your side.

Peace to you!

PS I've added some new photos and videos.
