Getting started in the Philippines
Today was a great day! It was day one of our week of fun in the Philippines... And it did not disappoint.
We started the day (well technically I started my day by rolling around at 3am when I couldn't sleep anymore because of the jetlag!) by attending a church service at Fort Bonifacio. In many ways, it is the heart of our church movement. It was awesome to be there with many guests from around the world and to worship with brothers and sisters whom I've never met, sharing not only the same Father, but also the same heart to make disciples of all nations.
After the service, we headed off to an outdoor 'market market' and enjoyed some awesome seafood in the bustling, 34-degree heat! And after that a trip to Tagaytay with a beautiful view of a lake and volcano, stopping along the way for a number of delicacies like bananas and four different types of peanut brittle!
So far the heat and traffic have not been too bad, but I'm assuming the air-conditioned car and apartment is helping a lot with that!
Hoping I'll sleep normally tonight... Over and out!
